25 Beautiful Songs To Walk Down The Aisle To On Your Wedding Day.
Walking down the aisle is a very special moment in your wedding. One that you have probably thought about since you became engaged, and if not, long before this. Arguably one of the most emotional parts of a wedding day and traditionally, the first time couples see each other on the morning of the wedding, it’s a time filled full of love and sentiment.
That's why, getting the track to play you down the aisle to, is so important. Every time you hear the track you pick in the years to come after your wedding, you will feel such jy and emotion. Narrowing it down to just the one, and making a final choice- now there’s the hard part! Your choice will depend on lots of things and these are just some things to consider;
Personal choice; if there’s a song jumping out at you that means a lot to you both, that’s a fabulous place to start. Perhaps there’s a artist you both love or maybe you went to see a band for the very first time together and your walking down the aisle song just has to be by them.
Tempo; for walking down the aisle, a nice slower pace is advisable. You don’t want to feel rushed down the aisle. By choosing a slower tempo, you will have chance to take in all your guests, the surrounding and of course your husband or wife to be. If the track you’ve got your eye on is naturally more up beat, see if there’s a acoustic version available.
Entourage; this ones a simple one but important, if you’ve got a bigger bridal party, allow a longer track to ensure you all have plenty of song allowance to give everyone enough time to walk down the aisle to.
More is less – the wrong way round to the famous saying but always allow more of the song than you think you will need to walk you down the aisle. Nerves will kick in and if you need a minute longer to take everything in, allowing extra will make sure there isn't a rush for you.
Make others aware – when it comes to walking down the aisle, you’ll be so full of excitement and emotion you may want to just walk! But if there’s a certain part of the song that means a lot to you or you want to enter to, make sure to let your wedding planner know so they can do thinking for you.
If there is more than one track you love and want to incorporate into your ceremony, do not worry! There are lots of other places you could use these songs; seating of the guests, signing of the register & exit music are all really important and heart warming moments too. So, how long do you need for these parts? Here are my recommended allowances for planning your wedding ceremony music;
1. Seating of the guests. *Recommendation; 20 minutes worth of song choices 2. Walking down the aisle. *Recommendation; 1 song usually, 4-5minutes long, dependent on the above. 3. Signing of the register. *Recommendation;A mixture of songs, 15 minutes or so track time total 4. Exit of the ceremony. *Recommendation; 1 song, 3-4 minutes long
